

Benedict Wong

Huang Chuanfeng (Benedict Wong, or "Ben") is a fourth-generation Malaysian Christian who grew up learning to serve in the church. In 2009, he came to New Jersey for studies, and during that time Ben and a local church co-founded a youth fellowship. In 2011, he dedicated himself at the World Methodist Youth Leaders Conference and decided to devote his life to serving with Ambassadors for Christ. Starting in 2014, he began working part-time at Ambassadors for Christ, and in 2015 became a full-time campus worker, focused on serving international students in New Jersey.
In 2017, he was sent to Georgia to serve at the Atlanta Chinese Christian Church, focusing on international students at Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, and the Savannah College of Art and Design. During that time, he pursued a Master of Divinity at Columbia International University and served as the regional coordinator of AFC's Southern Campus ministry, while also helping establish the Clarkston refugee ministry. In July 2022, he was transferred to New York City to focus on serving students and young professionals at Columbia University and New York University. In August 2023, he completed the City to City training and is currently actively involved in urban mission and youth ministry in Long Island City.
Ben is dedicated to promoting activities for young people. In 2016, he introduced the "Life Impact" ministry, promoting Life Impact Camps and Church Impact Camps throughout North America [https://www.lifeimpactministriesusa.org/]. In 2023, we introduced CHISTA — the Chinese International Student Association for Evangelism — dedicated to gospel work among Chinese international students overseas [https://www.chistausa.org/].
The training Ben has received includes KAIROS, Perspective, Theological Education by Extension (TEE) series courses — Life of Christ and Pauline Epistles, The Bethel Series, and Creative Result Management (foundational coaching course). Ben is currently being certified in Career Direct Coach and Mastery Coach (Level 1).
Ben is very interested in the dynamics of the younger generation and has established an international student ministry website (Timothy Projects) [https://www.timothyprojects.org/].
